APPENDIX 3- l <br />PERMIT AREA LEGAL DESCRIPTION <br />The permit area is located east and south of Hayden, Colorado in Routt County, Colorado; the coal handling facility area is <br />approximately two miles southeast of Hayden. The USGS 7.5 quadrangle map Mount Harris, Colorado, contains the described area of <br />the site. <br />The proposed pen-nit area for the Hayden Gulch Loadout contains approximately 175.3 acres. Approximately 97.1 acres of the <br />permitted area have been affected. No additional disturbances are contemplated at this time for the operational life of the facility (see <br />Exhibit 17 -1).
