C -17). The observed 2012 conductivity data plots within the historical range in conductivity for
Johnson Gulch (001) for the low flow rates (Figure C -18).
Figure C -19 presents conductivity concentrations versus time for NPDES site 002. The
upper range in conductivity in 2011 and 2012 was slightly less than the upper range for the previous
few years. The range in the 2012 conductivity data was similar to the historical range for low flow
rate. Figure C -20 shows a good inverse relationship between flow and conductivity for the data at
this site.
The conductivity values for NPDES site 011 and 017 are shown Figure C -21, with values
from NPDES site 011 covering most of the historical range and only one low value from the NPDES
site 017 for 2012. Figure C -22 shows the 2012 conductivity values from site 011 exist in the upper
half of the previously observed conductivities. Figures C -23 and C -24 present the limited data that
has been collected at the NPDES 013 and 018 sites. Figures C -25 and C -26 present conductivity
versus time and conductivity versus flow for NPDES sites 020 and 021. The conductivities
measured in 2012 for site 020 were similar to the historical values at low flow. The 2012
conductivities for site 021 are within the historical range for the flow values observed in 2012.
Conductivity of water for site S -1 has been fairly steady with time (Figure C -27). The 2012
conductivity is within the range that has been defined at this site. Figure C -28 presents the
conductivity versus flow for the S -1 site. The conductivity measured in 2012 for the S -1 site is
within the range measured for this site.
TDS, conductivity and major constituents tend to increase as the ground -water contribution
becomes a larger portion of the flow. The values, in general, are within natural ranges but some
increase over baseline has likely occurred at NPDES site 001. No long -term trends are indicated by
Trapper Mining Company 5 -2
2012 Annual Report
