<br />Unit SRM-GI a. Pike's Peak Area, El
<br />Paso, Teller, and Fremont Counties,
<br />Colorado
<br />This unit is located west of Colorado
<br />Springs on the flanks of Pike's Peak. It
<br />contains FS (Pike Ranger District, Pike/
<br />San Isabel National Forests) and BLM
<br />(Royal Gorge Field Office) lands in size.
<br />Areas with steep slopes (greater than 40
<br />percent slope), canyons, and rocky
<br />outcroppings with mixed - coniferous
<br />forests are included in this unit. State,
<br />private, and military lands (Cheyenne
<br />Mountain Operations Center) are not
<br />designated as critical habitat.
<br />Unit SRM -G1 b. Wet Mountain Area,
<br />Fremont, Custer, Pueblo and Huerfano
<br />Counties, Colorado
<br />This unit is located in the Wet
<br />Mountains, west of the City of Pueblo.
<br />It contains primarily FS lands (San
<br />Carlos District, Pike /San Isabel National
<br />Forests). Areas with steep slopes
<br />(greater than 40 percent slope), canyons,
<br />and rocky outcroppings with dense,
<br />mixed - coniferous forests are included in
<br />this unit. State and private lands are not
<br />designated as critical habitat.
<br />Unit SRM -G2. Devil's Head Area,
<br />Douglas and Jefferson Counties,
<br />Colorado
<br />This unit is located near Deckers
<br />within the South Platte Ranger District
<br />of the Pike /San Isabel National Forests
<br />in Colorado. It contains primarily FS
<br />lands. Areas with steep slopes (greater
<br />than 40 percent slope), canyons, rocky
<br />outcroppings with dense (greater than
<br />70 percent canopy), and mixed -
<br />coniferous forests are included in this
<br />unit. State and private lands are not
<br />designated as critical habitat.
<br />Unit SRM -NM-1. Cebollita Mesa, Jemez
<br />Mountains, Sandoval County, New
<br />Mexico
<br />This unit is located in the Jemez
<br />Mountains, in north - central New
<br />Mexico. It contains primarily FS (Jemez
<br />Ranger District, Santa Fe National
<br />Forests) lands. This unit contains
<br />mixed- conifer on steep slopes and
<br />canyons incised into volcanic rock. WUI
<br />project areas, State, and private lands
<br />are not designated as critical habitat.
<br />Unit SRM -NM-4. Pemlta, Jemez
<br />Mountains, Sandoval County, New
<br />Mexico
<br />This unit is located in the Jemez
<br />Mountains, south of Los Alamos, in
<br />north - central New Mexico. It contains
<br />primarily FS (Jemez Ranger District,
<br />Santa Fe National Forests) lands. Areas
<br />with steep slopes (greater than 40
<br />percent slope), canyons incised into
<br />volcanic rock, rocky outcroppings with
<br />dense, and mixed- coniferous forests are
<br />
