EXHIBIT C
Mining Plan
The Schuler Construction Gravel Pit Site will utilize a Gate located on the NW corner of
proposed property.
The proposed date of the start of mining is June 1, 2005 for 10 years or until the sand and
gravel is exhausted.
There will be no improvements to the property including the road (trail) until it is
reclaimed.
There will be no processing on site.
Excavation for each portion of the site will proceed as follows
1. The native topsoil will be removed to a depth of 6" and will stockpiled at the
location indicated on the Site Map (Exhibit E)
2. A waste rock pile will be created at the location indicated on the Site Map. Please
note that there is no waste rock anticipated.
3. Material removal
a. Front end loaders will fill trucks with the sand and gravel, removing the
material to the finished contour
b. As the final contours are developed, we will be left with less than 3:1
slopes
c. All waste rock will be stockpiled at the appropriate location
d. Any refuse or toxic material uncovered at the site will be identified and
the El Paso County Hazmat (719 -390 -5555; 205 South Cascade
Ave. , Colorado Springs, CO 80917) will be contacted to determine
the appropriate remediation process.
e. There will be no explosives used
f. There will be no water used except for a need for dust control. There will
be an 8000 gallon water tanker available that is filled in the town of Simla
that will be on site.
g. The site will have no impact with any water source (surface or
subterranean)
h. There will be no issues with water run off at this site.
