RECLAMATION PLAN EXHIBIT E
Section 1. Introduction
Map F -1 shows the details of the site reclamation and the approximate contours that will be re-
stored. The entire site will be restored for the primary use as high altitude rangeland. Wildlife
habitat is a secondary use. The entire site will be reclaimed with the exception of a) some access
roads will be left and b) some undisturbed areas will not need reclamation and c) some pre -law
disturbance that has not been re- worked.
The approved permit prior to the 2013 Amendment also allows a post -mine use of a water stor-
age reservoir. This use will not be eliminated from the permit but it is not contemplated at this
time. More research is needed on costs, storage rights potential, actual plans and other items be-
fore this option is shown in detail.
The acreage breakdown of the permit area is as follows:
Total permit = 45.04 acres
Total Disturbed area = 37.11 acres.
Roads to remain = 1.55 acres
Area to be reclaimed = 35.56 acres
Pre -law disturbed area that has not been reworked: 3.00 acres
Undisturbed Area = 4.93 acres
Area to be reclaimed for worst case = the current mine disturbed area of 21.34 acres + addi-
tional 2.1 acres of new disturbance = 23.44 acres - 1.55 acres (keep some roads) = 21.89 acres.
The worst case is the current site condition as of October 2012 with some minor additional dis-
turbance. The maximum disturbance is already disturbed and the highwalls will need to be re-
claimed. As the operation progresses, the current infiltration pond will fill up with fines and this
will lessen the amount of backfilling and grading needed for reclamation.
Gravel piles that have been run through the processing plant will be sold. All portable equipment
will be moved off site. The truck scale, vehicles, trailers and all other structures will be removed
from the site. Once all structures are removed, the site will be backfilled and graded. A few trail-
ers may be left for future use on the property. Topsoil that exists in current stockpiles will be
spread over the entire disturbed area to a depth of 6 inches. The topsoil will then be drill seeded
and mulched with mulch from beetle kill trees that have been brought to the Golden Cross prop-
erty outside the permit area.
Gloria Z Mine 2013 Amendment 23
