Undisturbed area <br />4.93 <br />Total Disturbed Area <br />45.04 <br />Section 9.0 Acreage Calculations <br />The total permit area is 45.04 acres and the operation will disturb a total of 37.11 acres. Of this <br />amount, approximately 16 acres were disturbed pre -1977 and no topsoil was salvaged. The follow- <br />ing table describes the disturbed acreage types for the life of the operation. <br />It should be noted that this total disturbed area is the total for the mine life. Only small areas of the <br />excavated cuts will be disturbed at any one time since reclamation will be ongoing, therefore, the <br />total area disturbed at any one time will be these cuts plus ancillary disturbance totaling only 23.1 <br />acres in the worst case.
