(UG) Unnamed Gulch -- We are not sure where this past water sampling site is
actually located, and would request that it be eliminated.
The following past and future water monitoring locations would remain the same:
(MW5) Mine Well No.5 -- This up- gradient background well will continue to be used
to determine ground water quality in this area of Gold Hill Mining District.
(MW6) Mine Well No. 6 -- This is the down - gradient well that is located southeast
of the Third Level Cross -cut Adit. It is being sampled to determine ground water
quality for the purpose of comparison with the mine water in the nearby Cash Mine.
(CA) Cash Mine -- Water samples from the Third Level Cross -cut Adit are being
taken to determine water quality in the Cash Mine.
I believe that these three water sample locations are more than adequate for monitoring
the inactive Cash Mine. Therefore, Gold Hill Mines, Inc. would request that this Technical
Revision for the Cash and Who Do Mines, Permit No. 1983 -141 be approved.
Very Truly Yours,
Mark A. Steen
For: Gold Hill Mines, Inc.
