Please update the threatened and endangered species section of Tab 11 as well as the <br />associated attachments and discuss potential impacts to current state and federal <br />threatened and endangered plant and animal species lists. The federal and state listed <br />species of concern may have changed over the last permit term. <br />Response: Review of the websites didn't indicate any changes to the information currently in <br />Tab 11. However, HGL has updated the text to indicate that the information was reviewed in <br />2013. <br />Tab 12; Facilities <br />13. The load -out facilities were demolished and the associated financial warranties to cover <br />these facilities were released during SLI. The Load -in facilities were never constructed <br />and the associated financial warranty to cover the demolition of the proposed structures <br />was also released during SL1. Please update this section of the permit to discuss the <br />reclamation activities that occurred to date and the future plan for the next permit term. <br />The text needs to be updated for the current conditions of the site and the projected use of <br />the facilities area needs to be clarified for the next permit term. <br />Response: Tab 12 has been revised to reflect past history and current conditions. <br />14. Exhibits 12 -1 and 12 -2 are referenced throughout this tab and many of the facilities no <br />longer exist and the liabilities were released or were never built. These structures were <br />removed from the map during TR8. Since these structures are referenced in the permit <br />text, they need to be depicted on these exhibits or the permit text needs to be revised to <br />account for the removal of these structures. Depending on the response to the item above <br />and the plan for the facilities area for the next permit term, the Division recommends <br />submitting revised Exhibits 12 -1 and 12 -2 with load -in and load -out structures currently <br />approved depicted. The current approved Exhibits 12 -1 and 12 -2 maps that do not depict <br />these structures could become alternative maps depicting the site in its current condition <br />and could be titled Exhibits 12-la and 12 -2a for example and could be included as part <br />of Attachment 12 -1 discussed below. <br />Response: The load - in/load -out facilities have been removed from the site and SL -1 released <br />the liability for these structures and facilities. As noted above, Tab 12 has been revised to reflect <br />past history and current conditions and Exhibits 12 -1 and 12 -2 remain as currently submitted to <br />reflect current conditions. <br />15.
