SECTION 2
OVERVIEW
Groundwater monitoring is expected to begin the week of April 14, 2003, with subsequent sampling
events taking place monthly (April 2003 through August 2004), requiring approximately one day per
event to collect and record groundwater samples, measure field parameters, prepare samples for
transport, and mail samples for overnight delivery to EPA certified laboratories (presently ACZ
Laboratories and Reservoirs Environmental Services). The monitoring effort will include active review
of collected data to evaluate the effectiveness of the plan in meeting project goals. The program may be
modified by the project team based on the field conditions during the sampling event to ensure field ,
safety and make the collection reliable and thorough. Changes to the sampling protocol will be
submitted to DMG for approval prior to implementation.
The following sections provide details of the Sampling Plan, including sample locations, schedule,
analytes, sampling analyses, documentation, quality assurance /quality control (QA /QC), and reporting.
P:\ Data\ GEN\ F -S -P -T \22421 \Permimng \Snpulanon Response \ Groundwater Sampling Plan \Condition 1 Groundwater Sampling Plan 2_28_03.doc
2
