Clerk County Clerk or Deputy. <br />When the following proceedings, among others, were had and done, to -wit: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 15 PROVIDING FOR AND COMPELLING <br />THE MANAGEMENT OF NOXIOUS <br />WEEDS ON PRIVATE PROPERTY IN <br />PUEBLO COUNTY <br />WHEREAS, Section 35 -5.5 -109, C.R.S., authorizes the Board of County <br />Commissioners (hereinafter referred to as the "Board ") to provide for and compel the <br />management of n oxious eeds n private property, at such time, upon such notice, and in <br />such _manner as they shall by ordinance proscribe. provided certain prerequisites have <br />been met :'a, -cd'v :• r.yc <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Pueblo County, Colorado, <br />recognizes that noxious weeds are dangerous to the health, safety, and welfare of the <br />public and can impact the public in an economic. physiological, or ecological mariner, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, this Board recognizes t,-.a : :n order to effectively control the spread <br />of noxious weeds in Pueblo County it is necessary or Pueblo County to assist the public <br />in managing such infestations on private and public lands via education, encouragemcr.t. <br />and erubrcernent, when necessary; and <br />WHEREAS, this Board by Resolution No. 99-232 approved and enacted thc <br />Pueblo County Noxious Wccd Management Plan: and <br />WHEREAS, this Board deems it in the interests of Pueblo County to adopt a <br />weed ordinance which enforces thc manager: era:: -'.:eria set forth in said Noxious Weed <br />Managetne nt Plan, as the same is amended from time to timc. <br />NON, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDi2 ED by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Pueblo County, Colorado, tha:: <br />Section 1: Pttmosc <br />1.! The purpose of this Ordinance is: <br />(a) to protect the public beai.h. safety, and welfare by effectively <br />managing noxious weed ..: ..estntions that can impact, or are <br />impacting, the public in an ccenomic. physiological, or ecological <br />manner; <br />(b) require all residents and cn :iu s in Pueblo County to manage such <br />infestations. <br />
