A drainage system will be provided to channel water off <br /> the reclaimed are as described in Section 8 , WATER. <br /> 10 . 23 TENMILE TAILING POND (22 ) AND NO. 3 DAM (23 ) <br /> The Tenmile Tailing Pond (22 ) and its embankment, No. 3 <br /> Dam ( 23 ) , will not be deactiviated until mining ceases around the <br /> year. 2020 , and reclamation will commence during Phase VI . <br /> Plans are to reclaim the tailing area using methods <br /> similar to those used on the Robinson Tailing Pond during Phase <br /> VI . Waste rock for stabilization would have to be obtained from <br /> the waste rock disposal sites and limited topsoil quantities will <br /> be available from the Mayflower topsoil stockpiles to create <br /> islands of topsoil over the rock. These plans will be carried out <br /> unless new methods or technologies have been developed which have <br /> been proven superior and which may be approved by Climax and the <br /> Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board at that time. Reclamation <br /> of the tailing area should be completed by the year 2030. <br /> Reclamation for flood control as described in Section 8 , <br /> WATER, will provide the means of properly draining and protecting <br /> the reclaimed tailing area. <br /> 10. 24 AREA ( 24 ) <br /> The landscape disturbance ( 24 ) below Clinton Dam is <br /> presently under the process of reclamation. Fertilizer was disked <br /> in during scarification followed by seeding and a straw mulch. <br /> Trees and shrubs have been planted . <br /> 10 . 25 KOKOMO (27 ) <br /> The entire Kokomo ( 27 ) area, including gravel <br /> operations, contractors' camp and roads will eventually be <br /> inundated by the advancing Mayflower. Tailing Pond , one disturbance <br /> covering another . <br /> 10 . 26 NO. 1 AND CLINTON CREEK CANALS (29 , 36 ) <br /> No. 1 Canal ( 29 ) and Clinton Creek Canal ( 36 ) supply <br /> fresh water to the Climax operation.
