rock dump except greater emphasis will be given to plant shelter <br /> and maintenance procedures will intensify. <br /> Seed and fertilizer maintenance applications will occur <br /> for a period of years, the approximate number to be anticipated <br /> from observations and maintenance of research plots . <br /> 10 . 17 SERVICE CORRIDORS ( 8, 10 , 16 , 17 , 20, 25 , 26, 28 ) <br /> Portions of the Service corridors have been under the <br /> process of reclamation for many years, however , service <br /> maintenance is ongoing and new services have been added over the <br /> r; years such as interceptor canals, domestic and mill waterlines, <br /> phone and gas lines , and roads. The corridors will remain <br /> affected but revegetated during the life of the mine. Final <br /> reclamation will involve the dismantling of the tailing delivery <br /> system, power lines, pumping stations and buildings; however , <br /> buried pipelines and canals will remain. Roads will remain in <br /> this area for future access and through traffic. Reclamation <br /> procedures for now and following cessation of mining will include <br /> hydroseeding with the Climax seed mixture and an initial <br /> fertilizer followed by hydromulch. Some steep slopes in the <br /> corridor resulting from cut and fill have been stabilized with <br /> gabions and a plastic erosion control netting has been utilized to <br /> enhance r.evegetation results. Spruce, pine, aspen and selected <br /> shrubs have been planted and transplanted onto the sites and this <br /> activity will continue. <br /> Climax will take the responsibility of dismantling all <br /> aerial power and phone lines and their support structures which <br /> function solely to serve the Climax mining operation. <br /> 10 . 18 AREAS ( 9, 21) <br /> Buffehr. ' s Facility ( 9 ) and the Pond Shop Facility ( 21) <br /> will be dismantled during Phase VI . Grading , the Climax seed <br /> mixture , an initial fertilizer and hydromulch will be used to <br /> revegetate the areas. Trees and shrubs will be planted during the <br /> second year. . <br /> 10-16 <br />
