highway. Topsoil will be spread over these areas to a depth of <br /> four to twelve inches. Additionally, a water course will be <br /> established to feed and drain three lakes or ponds. The drainage <br /> will exist in addition to the Arkansas River channel to the south. <br /> The Arkansas pumphouse will be dismantled prior to or during this <br /> same time. <br /> The area will be developed into a public park for <br /> picnicking and fishing and eventually may be turned over to the <br /> Colorado Division of Wildlife to manage as they please. <br /> 10 . 15 CLIMAX COMPLEX AND STORKE AREA (5 ) <br /> The Climax complex and Stor.ke Area entails all <br /> buildings, facilities, mine shafts, ore haulage railroad, roads <br /> and other facilities within the area bounded and labeled as area <br /> (5 ) on the phase maps. During the course of the mining plan, <br /> certain areas , as they may become available, will be reclaimed. <br /> Topsoil from McNulty Gulch and the Lower Levels project in the <br /> r- - <br /> Arkansas Valley may be used on these areas. This has been a <br /> continuing practice at Climax. Upon completion of the mining <br /> plan, all buildings, facilities , etc. , will be dismantled . Mine <br /> shafts will be plugged according to post-mining water control <br /> needs. Salvageable materials will be disposed of accordingly, <br /> while non-salvageables ( such as concrete and asphalt) will be <br /> blasted or torn up and buried . Buried pipelines and cables will <br /> remain buried. The Colorado and Southern Railroad tracks will <br /> remain the responsibility of Colorado and Southern Railroad. <br /> Public Service Company of Colorado transmission lines will remain <br /> the responsibility of the Public Service Company of Colorado. <br /> Grading will be limited to provisions of adequate drainage. <br /> Previously reclaimed areas will not be disturbed unless necessary <br /> for clean-up operations to occur. . Topsoil' will not be available, <br /> `,but subsoils are expected to present no problems for r.evegetation <br /> purposes. Rockfilled areas will be treated similarly to waste <br /> rock surfaces in which fertilizer , wood chips or straw, and <br /> possibly sewage sludge will be ripped in for purposes of <br /> establishing vegetation. <br /> 10-13 <br />
