2. Please add to the text of this exhibit a statement that there is no overburden on the site
(assuming such statement is accurate).
3. Please specify the estimated thickness of the material that will be mined.
4. Please specify the dimensions of any significant existing disturbance to the land surface.
The application mentions a previously mined pit. Please provide information such as length,
width and depth, of the previously mined area.
5. Specify the dimensions of the existing road. Please provide information such as the length
and width of the existing road. Also, will there be any improvements made to the road, will
the road need to be widened to accommodate more traffic.
6. Please clarify the meaning of this statement "Mining is anticipated to a depth of around 20
feet below the outside perimeter of the pit boundaries."
6.3.4 Exhibit D- Reclamation Plan
7. Please specify the thickness of the overburden that will be replaced. If there is no
overburden, please state that in the reclamation plan for this exhibit.
6.3.5 Exhibit E — Map
8. The map titled "Exhibit E — Mining Plan" shows the elevation of the hill as being 4470 feet.
The map titled "Exhibit E — Final Contour Plan" depicts the final elevation of the pit floor at
4430 feet. This would result in a mining depth of 40 feet. However the mining plan stated a
mining depth of only 20 feet, please explain or correct this discrepancy.
9. The elevation shown in the northwest corner of the permit area on the Exhibit E — Final
Contour Plan (4450 feet) is higher than the elevation shown in that area on the Exhibit E —
Mining Plan (4440 feet). Will reclamation increase the elevation in the northwest corner of
the permit area?
General comments
10. Rule 3.1.10(6) requires a weed control plan for all prohibited noxious weed species, and
whenever invasion of a reclaimed area by other weed species seriously threaten the
continued development of the desired vegetation. Please submit a weed management
plan that fulfills the requirements of Rule 3.1.10(6).
This concludes the Division's preliminary adequacy review of this application.
