Seneca II -W Mine
TR -79, Adequacy Review Response
Page 3
eliminating the need for geotextile. The justification for leaving out the geotextile is contained in the
NWCC documentation (see the NWCC Field Reports).
No changes to the text are required since the as-built report describes the activities that were implemented
during the remediation and it is very evident that the remediation measures taken were more stringent than
proposed.
10. Exhibit 13 -2 (Surface Hydrology) and Exhibit 20 -2 (Postmining Topography and Drainage) have
both been revised with TR -79, and a new Exhibit 20 -3 (Sheet 1 and 2), Post -Mine Road Profiles,
has been submitted These items appear to be adequate, but the application lacks one important
element needed to tie the various pieces together: a plan view showing the as -built topography
and locations of the features identified on new Pages 20 -D.1 and D.2 of Attachment 20 -D.
[Proposed details of this nature were approved as Exhibit 20 -D.2 with TR -73.] Please provide a
map which illustrates the various features and final topography as they were constructed with the
Pond 016A remediation project. The map should be at a scale consistent with that used in Exhibit
20 -D.2 as approved with TR -73.
Response: Exhibit 20 -D.2A is attached to address this item of concern.
Enclosed are 2 copies of the Adequacy Review Response. If there are further questions or concerns
please contact me.
Roy A.
