Y <br /> Annual Report, Climax Mining Permit #77-493 <br /> October 6, 1981 <br /> Page Three <br /> Approximately 100, 000 yds.3 ( 135, 000 yds. 3 totally) of <br /> topsoil were stripped and stockpiled .from the area of McNulty <br /> Gulch. The topsoil was stockpiled in an area just below the <br /> new haul r?ad accessing McNulty Gulch ( see map) . Another <br /> 4, 000 yds. were stripped from miscellaneous areas such as <br /> the storke area where the lower levels project continues . <br /> Climax ' s new emphasis in reclamation research was <br /> initiated in 1977 with its Native Plants Program and related <br /> programs in alpine reclamation, waste rock reclamation and <br /> tailing reclamation. The research programs are being done in <br /> cooperation with Colorado State University, Utah State <br /> University, U.S. Forest and Range Research Station (Logan, <br /> Utah) and the Soil Conservation Service and its Enviromental <br /> Plant Center at Meeker, Colorado. Two programs are nearing <br /> completion. The research programs are ongoing. <br /> We hope this report is satisfactory to your needs . <br /> Enclosed please find a check in the amount of $350. 00 to <br /> cover the annual fee as required in rule 2.42. <br /> Si rely <br /> Ronald H.
