ame0 <br />• construction of access roads, drainage control features and erosion control features to verify <br />compliance with the DRAWINGS and SPECIFICATIONS. <br />6.02.02 PLACEMENT OF MATERIALS: <br />During placement of Structural Fill, Select Structural Fill, Bedding Fill, Soil Liner Fill, Drain Cover Fill and <br />Pipe Bedding Material, the CQA Monitor shall: <br />• verify the use of appropriate fills; <br />• monitor and document material placement, including soil type, particle size, loose lift <br />thickness, moisture conditioning process, compaction equipment and methods used to attain <br />compaction, including number of passes, uniformity of compaction coverage, compacted lift <br />thickness, bonding of lifts and in -place moisture content and dry density is in compliance <br />with the SPECIFICATIONS; <br />• monitor Soil Liner Fill surface preparation to verify that the surface has been proof - rolled, <br />compacted, or hand worked so as to be in a condition suitable for geomembrane installation <br />as discussed in Section 02200 of the SPECIFICATIONS; <br />• monitor Bedding Fill placement and surface preparation to verify that the surface is suitable <br />for geomembrane installation as discussed in Section 02200 of the SPECIFICATIONS; <br />• monitor the placement of fill to ensure that CONTRACTOR exercises care in the vicinity of <br />pipes and that the underlying geosynthetics are not damaged; <br />• monitor and document CONTRACTOR verification of in -place Soil Liner Fill, Bedding Fill, <br />and Drain Cover Fill thickness; <br />• monitor equipment being used to place Drain Cover Fill to verify that the CONTRACTOR <br />places the material in accordance with the SPECIFICATIONS; <br />• monitor that Drain Cover Fill is pushed uphill for areas in which the slope exceeds 4H:1 V <br />and that the dozer does not perform unacceptable pivot turns; and <br />• monitor the fill temperature as identified in Section 02200 of the SPECIFICATIONS. <br />PART 7: DOCUMENTATION <br />Documentation kept by the CQA Monitor shall consist of daily record - keeping, construction problem <br />resolutions, design and SPECIFICATION changes, photographic records of construction, weekly progress <br />reports, chain of custody forms for test sample tracking, and a Construction Certification Report. <br />7.01 DAILY RECORD KEEPING: <br />Daily records kept by the CQA Monitor shall consist of field notes, observation and testing data sheets, <br />summary of the daily meeting with CONTRACTOR, and reporting of construction problems and resolutions. <br />The CQA Monitor shall submit this information on a regular basis to MANAGER for review. <br />Section 01400.1 Page 6 of 10 June 19, 2012 <br />Earthworks CQA Plan Revision 1 <br />
