MINERALS PROGRAM INSPECTION REPORT

The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety has conducted an inspection of the mining operation
noted below. This report documents observations concerning compliance with the terms of the permit
and applicable rules and regulations of the Mined Land Reclamation Board.
The following inspection topics were identified as having Problems or Possible Violations. OPERATORS
SHOULD READ THE FOLLOWING PAGES CAREFULLY IN ORDER TO ASSURE COMPLIANCE
WITH THE TERMS OF THE PERMIT AND APPLICABLE RULES AND REGULATIONS. If a
Possible Violation is indicated, you will be notified under separate cover as to when the Mined Land
Reclamation Board will consider possible enforcement action.
INSPECTION TOPIC: Hydrologic Balance
POSSIBLE PROBLEM: Failure to minimize disturbance to the prevailing hydrologic balance C.R.S 34- 32.5 -116 ( h)
of the Construction Materials Act and Rule 3.1.6(1) by allowing ground water to mound in adjacent properties;
and failure to protect areas outside of the affected land from damage occurring during mining or reclamation
C.R.S 34- 32.5 -116 (4)(I) of Construction Materials Act and Rule 6.3.3 (1), by allowing the ground water to
adversely impact adjacent property.
CORRECTIVE ACTIONS: The operator will place two transducers one in the water storage pond and another in
piezometer # 004 and monitor fluctuations and see if the adjacent pasture land water cover is related to pond
water volume. The two locations should be monitored weekly.
