Creek which is on Segment 13e of the Yampa River <br />basin. The stream standard for total recoverable iron <br />(1.0 mg /1) was exceeded at the SSLGS site. This site is <br />upstream of any mine discharges. The chronic selenium <br />standard of 4.6 ug /I was exceeded five times at the Pond <br />002 outfall with values of 5 ug/ in April, 11 ug /I in May, 7 <br />ug /I in June 6 ug /I in July and 5 ug /I in August. <br />Six monitoring sites exist within the Grassy Creek <br />drainage: YSGF5, SSG1, 003 outfall, SSG2, SSG3, and <br />YSG5. Sites YSGF5, YSG5, SSG2, and SSG1 exceeded the <br />total recoverable iron standard (1.0 mg /1) however, no <br />exceedances were noted at NPDES outfall 003. Site <br />YSG5 exceeded the chronic selenium standard (4.6 ug /1) <br />twice with values of 6.0 and 5.1 ug /1). High selenium <br />values were not observed at NPDES outfall 003. <br />10. Interim Narrative <br />CWQCC regulation <br />It was determined that bed rock groundwater points of <br />Standard for Ground <br />41.5.C.6 <br />compliance are unwarranted at the PSCM mine. Well <br />Water <br />SGAL70 serves as the PSCM Grassy Creek Alluvial ground <br />water point of compliance. No exceedances of the <br />parameters set forth were exceeded during the 2011 <br />water year. <br />11.
