No one was available to represent the
operator, Oakridge Energy, Inc.
The Carbon Junction Mine was approved for a reduced inspection frequency (quarterly)
following Division approval of Phase II bond release for the permit area.
Skies were clear and the temperatures were well below freezing. Southwestern Colorado
received the first significant snowfall of the season in the week prior to the inspection. The
ground surface within the permit area was blanketed with about one foot of fresh snow.
AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS —Rule 5.02.4(1):
• Permitting records were available for review at the offices of Goff Engineering &Surveying
in Durango. A completed DRMS Availability of Records form is attached to this report.
FISH and WILDLIFE—Rule 4.18:
• A few isolated sets of tracks (probably deer and coyote)were seen in the snow.
• An enterprising rodent had opened a fresh"door" to its underground home in the mutual use
area (Photo 1).
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 0
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2 Page 2 of 7
