• We visited the concrete structure that was installed by Western Fuels as part of the CCC
West Lateral Ditch relocation (Photo 10). The structure divides the flow into various sub-
laterals, and also charges the HDPE pipe that ultimately carries irrigation flow around the
southern perimeter of the NH Norh permit area.

4.06.4:
• Topsoil salvage operations were beginning once again in the southern portion of the permit
area. Two scrapers were running, stripping topsoil from the"REC" areas just south of the
old highwall location and dumping the material in the southern stockpile (Photos 11 and 12).
