Hay bales installed on the south bank of the Purgatoire River beneath the RDA conveyor belt
were in the process of being replaced by new bales. These hay bales catch coal fines falling off the conveyor and
treat the runoff from the fines before that runoff reaches the Purgatoire River.
vas
i
f
4
Photo of east side of Topsoil SAE.
