Established to monitor potential <br /> effects of Golden Eagle mining and surface facilities <br /> activities in the canyon and coal processing waste bank <br /> construction. <br /> ACAW-1 Alluvial well located in the Apache Canyon alluvium at the <br /> mouth of Apache Canyon. Established to monitor potential <br /> effects of secondary or retreat mining. This station is <br /> currently inactive as per CMLRD approval. <br /> West Portal Mine discharge at the New Elk Mine located in <br /> inactive West Portal Area. Discharge does not reach <br /> Purgatoire River.
