Enclosed are 11 A 7 size drawings for the project. These
drawings are updated versions, with revisions as discussed, of the drawings that have
previously been given to you for this project. The following is a brief description of the
various components of the proposed system as well as the design parameters and
assumptions used. The description below was written in a format such that it may be
used as the design report for the project If required by the regulatory agencies involved.
Backaround
Dam 4 was originally constructed In the mid-1960's in the Eagle River Valley for
the purpose of storing oxide tailing produced from the milling process at the Climax Mine.
The impoundment was only used for this purpose for a few years until the oxide mill circuit
was abandoned and tailing deliveries to Dam 4 ceased. The tailings that were deposited
in the impoundment during this time period are currently being removed in an effort to
convert the structure to a fresh water reservoir to be known as Eagle Park Reservoir. The
specific location of the structure is the northwest quarter of Section 33, Township 7
3700 South Inca Street Englewood, Colorodo 80110 (303) 761-4130 FAX (303) 761-2802
ZO' d ZOO' ON TV: T T 96 VZ daS Z'OK-T9Z-202-T : 131 3OSSd '8 Ja t aaum - m- m
