The following list of suggested changes is from our telephone discussion this date regarding your draft
resolution for Eagle Park Reservoir Water Delivery. Thank you for consolidating the content of our
discussions from the June 8, 1998 meeting at the Water Quality Control Division into the draft
resolution.
First page, second paragraph:
This document is intended to provide the framework under which this assurance can be demonstrated to
stakeholders in the Eagle River, the environmental coin=nity, and other stakeholders in the State of
e Morale.
Second page,first bullet:
As stieh, th%.,I.%, 13 11V %,VLAribution of contaminants to Eagle Park Reservoir from the elimax mine or
other operations conducted by the Climax Molybdenum Company on Fremont Pass.
Suggested Replacement Language: if the approved Environmental Protection Facilities are properly
maintained and operated, and continue to function in accordance with the design intent, there will be no
contribution to Eagle Park Reservoir of contaminants related to designated chemicals or acid rock
drainage, i.e.,process water,from the Climax Mine.
Condition No.2,first paragraph:
...results in chronic exceedences of the chronic water quality standards . . .
Condition No.2,second paragraph:
Reword to state that monitoring will occur during each of the first three years of reservoir releases.
