<br /> in this session include the administration's new wetlands initiatives, revised
<br /> stormwater regulations, issues in the water quality standard setting program,
<br /> trends in the Total Maximum Daily Load(TMDL)program, and management
<br /> of water quality on western coal lands. The session will specifically review the
<br /> Environmental Protection Agency's(EPA)proposed regulation to authorize the
<br /> use of alternative sediment control technologies and practices in the western
<br /> United States. In the air quality portion of the session,the speakers will review
<br /> and discuss key issues including regional haze,particulate matter litigation,pos-
<br /> sible future regulatory initiatives on mercury, and how the coal industry is
<br /> adapting to the changing political and regulatory scheme.
