Aries 2607 Page 3 <br />SECTION 5 - HEALTH HAZARD DATA <br />EFFECTS OF EXPOSURE: CORROSIVE! Causes burns to the eyes and skin. <br />Inhalation of mists may cause mucous membrane and respiratory irritation. <br />Harmful if swallowed. <br />INGESTION: May cause severe irritation or burns of the mucous membranes, <br />esophagus and stomach. May cause nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Large <br />amounts may cause liver and kidney effects. Give large quantities of water to <br />dilute. Do NOT induce vomiting Seek medical assistance. <br />SKIN CONTACT: May cause severe irritation or burns. Immediately flush with <br />water for 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash skin <br />thoroughly with soap and water. Seek medical assistance if irritation persists. <br />EYE CONTACT: May cause severe irritation or burns with pain and tearing. <br />Immediately flush eyes with water for 15 minutes lifting eyelids often. Seek <br />medical assistance. <br />INHALATION: May cause irritation of the nose throat and upper respiratory tract. <br />Immediately remove victim to fresh air. If breathing is difficult have qualified <br />personnel administer oxygen. If breathing has stopped, administer artificial <br />respiration. Seek medical attention. <br />CARCINOGENICITY: None of the components is listed as a carcinogen. <br />STABILITY: <br />Stable <br />SECTION 6 - REACTIVITY DATA <br />HAZARDOUS POLYMERIZATION: <br />Will not occur. <br />CONDITIONS TO AVOID: Stable under normal storage and handling conditions. <br />Product degrades at elevated temperatures. Avoid temperatures above 45 °C. <br />MATERIALS TO AVOID: Metals (zinc and aluminum), alkalis. Product will slowly <br />corrode iron, brass, copper, aluminum and mild steel. <br />HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION OR BY- PRODUCTS: When heated to <br />decomposition emits toxic oxides of carbon and sulfur and chlorine compounds <br />including hydrogen chloride. Reacts with metals to form flammable hydrogen gas. <br />
