As part of MLE, the solution enrichment circuit was upgraded at the AGADR to allow an option <br />to circulate pregnant solution from Phases I, II and IV PSSAs onto Phase 5 of the AGVLF <br />affecting enrichment of the gold in solution. As part of the enrichment circuit upgrade, pregnant <br />solution from the Phases I, II and IV PSSAs can either be pumped to the pregnant solution <br />distribution tank and into the carbon trains at the AGADR or can be pumped to the enrichment <br />tank for routing to Phase 5 of the VLF. The enrichment tank is an existing tank located adjacent <br />to the barren solution tank and within the existing AGADR containment system. The enrichment <br />tank has a capacity of 100,000 gallons. The potential maximum total amount of solution in <br />circulation at the AGVLF is about 29,100 gpm, distributed equally between the Phases I, II, III <br />and IV of AGVLF and associated PSSAs at an average combined rate of 16,000 gpm (maximum <br />total rate of 19,000 gpm) and the Phase 5 of AGVLF and PSSA at a rate of approximately 10,000 <br />gpm. At any one time, the amount entering the AGADR for gold recovery is no more than <br />approximately 17,000 gpm and averages approximately 16,000 gpm. <br />As part of MLE2, two steel pipelines will be constructed from the AGADR to the SGADR to <br />allow transfer of fresh water and barren solution from the AGADR to the SGADR. The barren <br />solution pipeline will be 24 inches in diameter and will be double - walled where it runs on <br />unlined ground. The fresh water pipeline will be 12 inches in diameter. Water and barren <br />solution will flow through the pipelines partially by gravity flow and partially by pumping. <br />8.1.1 Process Solution Enhancement System ( "PSES ") <br />Process solution, upstream from the carbon trains within the AGADR will be directed to <br />and from the PSES, through the AGADR facilities, then again to and from the PSES. <br />The subsequent enhanced barren solution will then be distributed onto the AGVLF as <br />currently designed. The attached Block Flow Diagram, Drawing No. 10- 100 -03, outlines <br />the conceptual flow paths. <br />The following is a bit more detailed explanation of the designed flow path and maximum <br />flows: <br />A maximum of approximately 20,000 gpm of flow from the pregnant solution head tank <br />( "Preg Tank ") will proceed to the Process Solution ( "PS ") Stabilization tank within the <br />PSES. This will allow the PS to reach an equilibrium state within the tank. <br />Approximately 4,000 gpm of PS will be directly diverted to the Splitter Box, located at <br />the head of the Comag Trains. Approximately 16,000 gpm of PS will be pumped to the <br />AGADR to be processed in the existing carbon trains, and then proceed back down to the <br />PSES to the Splitter Box. <br />Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company <br />Cresson Project Mine Life Extension 2 <br />8 -4 <br />
