Carin Corley and Darrel Mergen were on <br /> the portal area conducting vegetation sampling. Carin said that they have been doing their own monitoring on the <br /> Corley property since the site was reclaimed. They collect 10 vegetation cover samples at the same location points <br /> every year. <br /> Jack and John Robeda, Ranch managers for the landowner, Dr. Corely, met the inspector on Fremont county road <br /> 92 north of the Southfield permit area. <br /> The inspector encountered the caretaker of the Thompson ranch at the end of the inspection. <br /> FISH and WILDLIFE—Rule 4.18: <br /> A small pool of water was retained in Pond 4. As a result there were numerous elk tracks around Pond 4. <br /> Turkeys were observed west of the RD A. <br /> Bear tracks were noted at the Monarch fan area. Fresh bear scat was observed in the reclaimed subsidence hole <br /> area west of the Thompson driveway. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br /> Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; <br /> The rocked ditch crossing to truck tunnel remains in good condition.
