Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N - Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> N -Processing Waste N -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a partial inspection of the Seneca II-W Mine conducted by Brock Bowles of the Colorado Division of <br /> Reclamation Mining and Safety on November 7, 2012. Dennis Bugay was contacted before the inspection but did <br /> not attend the inspection. The weather was clear and mild. The ground conditions were dry. <br /> BACKFILL and GRADING—Rule 4.1411 Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1;Approximate Original Contour <br /> 4.14.2; Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f); Steep Slopes 4.14.2, 4.27;Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials <br /> 4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6: <br /> The bottom of the hillside north of Pond 016 was covered with red rock(photo 1). <br /> FISH and WILDLIFE—Rule 4.18: <br /> A large porcupine was sleeping in an oak tree near culvert PM-1 (photo 2). <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05❑ Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br /> 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br /> Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br /> Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> The ditch along Road G(North entrance road)was being lined with rock. Rock was staged along the road <br /> in piles. An excavator was cleaning the ditch and installing the rock(photo 3). <br /> Pond 005 contained water but was not discharging. The berm was well vegetated and appeared to be stable. Pond <br /> T-20 was dry. <br /> The inlet side of culvert PM-I I was recently cleaned(photo 4). Culvert PM-10 was also clean. <br /> Pond T-26 contained water and was not discharging. Drainage ditches and contour ditches were installed and <br /> maintained around pond T-26. The drainage ditches were rock lined with larger rocks stacked at intervals to <br /> create check dams. The contour ditches drained into the drainage ditches and were not rock lined(photo 5).
