Brian Watterson of Peabody <br /> accompanied me on the inspection. <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS —Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> The records were brought to the site in several binders by Brian Watterson. The records are kept at the Twenty <br /> Mile Mine in Oak Creek, Colorado. Please see the Division's Availability of Records checklist at the end of this <br /> inspection report for more detailed information. <br /> BACKFILL and GRADING—Rule 4.14 <br /> Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1;Approximate Original Contour 4.14.2;Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f); <br /> Steep Slopes 4.14.2, 4.27;Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials 4.143; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6: <br /> The backfilled and reclaimed Mine No.4 Portal remains stable and well vegetated with no signs of slumping, <br /> settling or cracking. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br /> Drainage —Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> The Mine No. 5 dewatering pump was not operating at the time of the inspection. Ponds 5-P5, 5-P6 and 5-P7 all <br /> held water but was not discharging from Pond 5-P7 (NPDES 003). All embankments of Ponds 5-P5, 5-P6 and 5- <br /> P7 were stable and well vegetated with no signs of erosion. Repair work on the embankments from rodent holes <br /> remains stable.No additional rodent holes and burrows were observed. <br /> Ponds HR-Pla,HR-Plb, 9-P1, 9-P2, 9-P3, 9-P4, 9-P5, 9-P6, 9-P7, 9-P8 and 5A-P1 were all inspected. Ponds were <br /> dry. All pond embankments were well vegetated with no stability issues.
