Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N - Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> R -Processing Waste N -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> INTRODUCTION—This was a partial inspection of the Trapper Mine conducted by Brock Bowles of the <br /> Colorado Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety on November 6, 2012. Graham Roberts, EHS Specialist for <br /> the Trapper Mine,was present for the inspection. The weather conditions were clear and mild. The ground <br /> conditions were dry. <br /> BACKFILL and GRADING—Rule 4.14 Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1;Approximate Original Contour <br /> 4.14.2; Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f); Steep Slopes 4.14.2,4.27;Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials <br /> 4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6: <br /> The road on the east side of F-pit was being graded to blend in with the contour of the surrounding area <br /> (photo 1). The western side and upper areas of F-pit have been topsoiled(photo 2). Rock was staged in the <br /> bottom of the drainage for installing check-dams. The lower sections of F-pit have not been topsoiled because of <br /> potential future development. Spoil material was being moved and backfilled within K-pit. <br /> FISH and WILDLIFE—Rule 4.18: <br /> Many species of ducks were seen on the ponds during the inspection. Some of the species noted were <br /> mallards, coots,ringneck,redhead, green-winged teal and American widgeon. Two muskrats were in Johnson <br /> Pond 410 and two herds of antelope were seen. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br /> 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br /> Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br /> Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> The eastern sides of No Name Pond#4 and 45 were cleaned(photo 3). The western sides of the ponds are <br /> scheduled to be cleaned next year. No Name Pond#5 was discharging and a sample was taken during the <br /> inspection. The logs were removed from the emergency spillway of No Name Pond#2 (photo 4). <br /> A new Parshall flume was installed at the discharge of Middle Flume Pond 3 (photo 5).
