Susan Burgmaier -2- November 16, 2012 <br />Affected and Disturbed Area <br />The disturbed area will increase by 1.3 acres. There will be no change to the affected <br />area. <br />Cultural Resources <br />Appropriate cultural resource surveys have been conducted and are included in the <br />permit in Volume VI. <br />Soils <br />The soils where the gob vent hole will be established is identified as Delson Stony <br />Loam 20 to 60% slopes. This soil type was determined from the Bowie No. 1 Mine Map <br />9 -3. A description of the Delson Stony loam soil type was added to the permit <br />beginning on page 2.04 -78. <br />Vegetation <br />The vegetation type where the gob vent hole will be established is oak brush based on <br />visual observation by mine personnel. <br />Reclamation Estimate <br />A $15,625 reclamation estimate is enclosed for the four utility holes. An $11,620 <br />reclamation estimate is enclosed for the gob vent hole. <br />The following revised permit pages and maps are enclosed. <br />Volume I <br />Volume II <br />Sincerely, <br />/` <br />J.
