Annual Report
Climax Mine Permit No. 77-493
February 14 , 1985
Page 2
1983 was the first year of a planned three year program to
improve fish habitat in the Arkansas River below our property
line . We were able to finish the project in 1984 , one year
earlier than planned . The program consisted of the strategic
placement of large rocks ( 2 to 4 feet in diameter) in the stream
bed and was done in conjunction with the DOW, the BLM and the Army
Corps of Engineers .
Attached is the annual fee of $350. 00 and map as required by
Rule 2 . 42 . Also attached , as stipulated by the Board , is our
biannual recalculation of the estimated costs of reclamation. We
will await verification of the amount before adjusting our bond
values .
Sincerely,
Larry F. Brown
Deputy Director,
Environmental Control
D vice W. De co
ur
Vice President and Director ,
External Affairs
LFB/DWD/a
Attachment
