Airport Road, Suite A -205 <br />Longmont, CO 80503 <br />Dear Mr. Deere: <br />DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES <br />DIVISION OF WATER RESOURCES <br />Subject: Acceptance of the Design and Construction Documents for <br />the Proposed Stonewall Springs Central Dam <br />• Two copies of the construction specifications with approval signatures. <br />We are transmitting the following under separate cover: <br />• One mylar cover sheet with approval signatures. <br />• Two copies construction drawings with approval signatures. <br />13111 Kilter, Jr. <br />Governor <br />Harris D Sherman <br />l'.xer41tiv1' ()Mellor <br />Dirk Wolfe, Y E. <br />Director <br />When replying, please refer to: <br />Stonewall Springs Central Dam <br />Construction File No.: C -1927 <br />Water Division 2, Water District 14 <br />Thank you for submitting, for the review and approval by the State Engineer, the design and <br />construction documents for the proposed Stonewall Springs Central Darn located within Section <br />36, Township 20 South, Range 63 West of the 6 P.M. in Pueblo County Colorado, The <br />proposed dam will have a maximum vertical height of approximately 24 feet and a crest length of <br />12,485 feet. The dam is proposed to have a capacity of 6,300 acre -feet. With the presence of an <br />existing mining operation immediately downstream in combination with the reservoir capacity, the <br />proposed dam will be classified as a large size, High Hazard dam. <br />We have completed our review of the design and construction documents and have found <br />them to be acceptable for construction.
