The in -cell mining sequence will be excavated in the Phases; the areas needing excavation to facilitate <br />construction of the zoned perimeter dam will likely receive the highest priority for excavation. In all <br />Phases mining will be done in 1.5 -12.5 acre cells, this will keep the affected area to a minimum. The <br />applicant desires to keep the financial warranty as low as possible during the first few years to gain a <br />market share and benefit from the economic recovery. No slurry wall will be constructed until deemed <br />appropriate the areas designated for construction of the slurry walls will be identified and the Division <br />of Reclamation, Mining and Safety will be notified and a Technical Revision will be submitted before <br />any slurry walls are installed. Until that time all mining will be dry with no exposed ground water. <br />Several "No Mining" buffer areas will be established, please see the Mining Pan Map, Exhibit "C ". <br />Pueblo County owns Nyberg Road and has requested that materials from the mining operations be <br />conveyed by a conveyor system, designed by a professional engineer licensed to practice in the State of <br />Colorado, to transport material across Nyberg Road. <br />(b) Earthmoving: <br />Earthmoving will be done with appropriate types and sizes of equipment, i.e. dozers, front -end loaders, <br />scrapers, excavators, etc. Trucks designed (dump trucks, rock haul trucks) to move materials on site <br />would transport material around the mine site and processing area. As stated above, Pueblo County <br />owns Nyberg Road and has requested that materials from the mining operations be conveyed by a <br />conveyor system, designed by a professional engineer licensed to practice in the State of Colorado, to <br />transport material across Nyberg Road. <br />• Slurry Wall Construction when required: <br />Slurry or cut -off walls are a non- <br />structural constructed underground barrier to the movement of ground water from one <br />area to another area.
