bidders responsibility to ensure the receipt of faxed or mailed bids. Bids will be evaluated by
comparing the grand total on the enclosed Bid Schedule.
Bid Award
The apparent low bidder must submit the attached Bid Schedule, signed and a certificate of
insurance with the following limits:
1. Standard Workers Compensation and Employer Liability , as required by State Statute
including occupational disease, covering all employees at the work site.
2. General Liability (Public Liability and Property Damage) (Minimum):
a. Combined single limit of $600,000 written on an occurrence basis;
b. Any aggregate will not be less than $1 million;
c. The CONTRACTOR must purchase additional insurance if claims reduce the annual
aggregate below $600,000;
d. The State of Colorado must be named as additional insured on each comprehensive
general liability policy;
e. Certificates of insurance must be provided to the state within ten (10) working days after
receipt of award; and,
f. Insurance shall include provisions providing notification to the State ten (10) days prior
to cancellation of the coverage.
3. Automobile Liability(Minimum). The CONTRACTOR must carry a minimum of$600,000
combined single limit.
Project Work Description
The purpose of the project is to construct a four strand barbed wire fence around the recently
reclaimed portions of the Sutey Pile so that cattle are excluded from this area. The fence shall
be constructed to the specifications of Standard Work Specification 18.0, Four-Wire Fence, and
Standard Drawing Number 9, attached.
The attached map shows the location of the fence to be constructed. A single four wire gate will
be constructed at the location shown on the map. A number of water diversions have been
constructed on the Sutey Pile, and will need to be crossed by the fence. The locations of the
water courses are indicated on the map. All of the drainages to be crossed are less than thirty
feet (30') wide.
The anticipated performance period is July 9, 1996, through July 16, 1996.
Fencing, including the wire gate, shall be measured to the nearest linear foot. Measurement and
payment for construction shall be at the unit price establisled on the Bid Schedule. Such
