Contractors are <br /> responsible for verifying all estimations prior to bid submittal. <br /> Safety <br /> It is the responsibility of the CONTRACTOR to ensure a safe working environment within the tunnel <br /> entries during fulfillment of this contract. Therefore, CONTRACTOR shall monitor the atmosphere <br /> within each entry during performance of the work, and provide for ventilation as needed. A multi- <br /> gas meter supplied by the CONTRACTOR must be used to test air before and during installation of <br /> the pipe, block walls and backfill within the mine entries. This requirement shall also apply when <br /> the existing block walls are perforated. The roof and ribs shall be stabilized as necessary to ensure <br /> safe working conditions. <br /> CONTRACTOR shall provide evidence of safe working conditions to the satisfaction of PROJECT <br /> MANAGER prior to starting work within the entries. <br /> Work Tasks <br /> The tasks included in the project are as follows: <br /> Task 1: Mobilization and Demobilization <br /> Task 2: Demolition <br /> Task 3: Silt Fence Installation <br /> Task 4: Block Wall <br /> Task 5: Earth Work <br /> Task 6: Surface Drainage: Rock Tunnel Discharge <br /> Task 7: Surface Drainage: Contour Furrows <br /> Task 8: Equipment Rental <br /> Task 9: Revegetation <br /> 6 <br />
