Failure to do so will not
relieve bidders from responsibility for estimating properly the difficulty or cost of successfully
performing the work.
PROJECT FUNDING
This project is funded 100% through monies made available to the State of Colorado through
revocation of bond monies retained by the Division of Minerals and Geology for reclamation of this
previously permitted mining operation.
AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT
All programs, services and activities of the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Minerals
and Geology and the Colorado mined Land Reclamation Board are operated in compliance with the
Americans with Disabilities Act. The Rock Tunnel entry is located approximately 1 .2 miles
west of the main gate to the mine property.
This project will accomplish reclamation of the Rock Tunnel area through the demolition and
disposal of concrete foundations, placement of pipes and fill into the Rock Tunnel entries,
construction of a stream channel to convey flows from the entries to an adjacent creek, and partial
elimination of adjacent highwalls by excavating material from the bench margins and placing it
against the highwalls. All cut and fill areas, bench remnants and the bench margins (outslopes) will
be revegetated.
5
