Coal fines located outside the entries
shall be pushed to the highwall and covered by other earthen
materials.
2. Material needed for backfilling the highwall shall be
excavated from the following areas (excavation of the first area
shall be completed prior to excavating from the next area) :
Surface channel to be constructed;
North Fork Dutch Creek slopes;
Dutch Creek slopes downstream of the Waste Rock Dump culvert
Dutch Creek slopes upstream of the Waste Rock Dump culvert
3. Demolition of the fan housing foundation (above entries) may
be accomplished to ground surface, rather than to three feet (31 )
below ground surface.
4. The slope of the highwall backfill may be constructed so that
slopes are gentler (less steep) than 2H:1V. Compaction and other
pertinent backfilling and demolition specifications are unchanged.
5. The forty eight inch (4811) holes to be driven through the
existing block walls within the entries may be completed at any
time during completion of the project.
