The project area will be ripped to a minimum eighteen-inch (18") depth immediately <br /> prior to initiating revegetation operations. The project area includes the entry area <br /> north of the main east-west haul road, from the tunnel entries to the North Fork of <br /> Dutch Creek, the fan and fan road, the storage yard south of the main east west haul <br /> road to Dutch Creek and from the Waste Dump culvert to the red gate across the <br /> main-east west haul road. There will be no measurement for payment. Payment for <br /> This task will be reflected in the lump sum bid under Item 9, revegetation. <br /> 8. A second additive alternate will be added to the bid. Please provide a price to provide <br /> five (5) tons per acre cow manure and three (3) tons per acre hay or straw. The price <br /> should include the cost to purchase, deliver and work this material into the surface of <br /> those areas ripped as per amendment Item 6 above. The use of this material is NOT <br /> guaranteed. If used, this material will be completely disced or furrowed into the flat <br /> areas which were ripped, prior to initiating revegetation operations. <br /> 9. The specification for the concrete pipe described in the Additive Alternate on page 15 <br /> of the Invitation to Bid is changed. The forty eight inch (48") Class 3 concrete pipe <br /> shall conform to ASTM C-76 specifications. Installation specifications described in the <br /> Invitation to Bid are unchanged. <br /> 10. A 'Y' joint may be substituted for the second 45 degree bend at the point where the <br /> north and south entry drainage pipes join outside the south entry. <br /> 11 . All terms and conditions of the Invitation and Bid other than as changed by this <br /> amendment remain the same. <br /> 12.
