3. Pocking of the waste embankment according to the plan described in Exhibit E Pocks will be installed
by a track hoe on the slope. It is estimated that the track hoe will require 3 full days at 7 hours per day at
an hourly cost of $150. The cost for this task is $150 per hour x 7 hours per day x 3 days = $3,150.
4. All surface facilities will be removed.
Lower Mine Area This includes the following at the Lower Mine area: shop, warehouse, office and dry
facility building with its concrete foundation. Fuel tanks are provided by the fuel supply contractor, and
will be removed by the contractor at no cost to the operator. The building dimensions are 40 ft wide x
73 feet long x 15 feet tall. The building sits on a 4 inch concrete slab which totals 36 cubic yards. The
building can be dismantled and removed from the site for $12,000 and the concrete foundation can be
removed for $12,240. Cost components are:
a) Shop, warehouse, office, dry building removal = $12,000.
b) Concrete foundation removal 36 cy x $340 /cy = $12,240.
Upper Mine Area The Upper Mine Area will require the removal of the small water treatment
building and its foundation, the new pond fences, the power box and poles /transformer, piping
and man hoist and building. Cost components are:
a) Water treatment building and minor foundation = $4,000.
b) Pond fences (cyclone fence w /8' high wooden posts) = $1,000.
c) Power box and poles /transformer (usually done by the power company) = $3,000
d) Piping from borehole to treatment building and ponds and water discharge piping = $2,000
The total facility removal cost = $34,240.
5. The liners and precipitates will be excavated with a track hoe and taken by truck to a licensed disposal
facility Based on Cotter's past experience at other sites and based on the size of the old ponds, this
would amount to 6 trucks of 24 ton capacity. The worst case scenario will be based on a track hoe
working for 10 hours to excavate the liners and precipitate at an hourly cost of $130 per hour loading 6
trucks. The trucking cost to the mill is a known independent cost of $850 per truck. The cost for this
task is $130 per hour x 10 hours + $850 per truck x 6 trucks = $6,400.
L -2
