• Soil erosion resulting from the operation has been stabilized; and
• A vegetative cover at least equal to that present prior to the disturbance has been
established.
Reclamation Costs
The CM -25 Mine permit consists of two major parcels - the mine waste area and the
proposed venthole areas. Listed below are the significant parts of the reclamation efforts
required at each parcel, followed by the calculations for reclamation costs.
Mine Waste and Portal Area Cost
Remove office trailer $400
Plug portals $400
Re- contouring the mine waste dump $1,160
Spreading soil material $2,520
Pocking waste dump $1,250
Seeding $1,129
Plug ventholes $3,580
Total $10,439
The cost to remove the office trailer is based on two men taking apart the office trailer in
4 hours and hauling it offsite. The estimated cost is $400.
The cost to remove the concrete for the shop building pad and put it inside the portal is
included in the cost to plug the portal.
The northern portal will be closed by replacing the bat gate, which is currently installed
in the portal, back in place. The bat gate will be removed from the portal in one
salvageable piece when mining operations resume; therefore, this gate should readily re-
attach to the frame at the portal for final reclamation.
The southern portal currently has a locked bat gate on it which will be maintained as such
during mining operations. There should be no cost to reclaim this.
Cost = $400 to re- attach the bat gate to the frame at the portal
The cost to re- contour the mine waste dump is based on using a D -6 dozer, or equivalent,
to push the mine waste material to a 2H:1 V final slope. The mine waste dump will
consist of an upper tier, located just outside the portal, and a lower tier for the ore
stockpile and haul truck access. It is estimated to take approximately 8 hours to re-
contour the waste dump to a 2:1 slope.
Cost = 1 dozer x $145 /hr x 8 hr = $1160
D -4
