JAN.23.19% 2:37PM CITY OF ASPEN NO.805 P.15
The leach fields were constructed by excavating pits of sufficient
area and depth to supply proper drainage. Eight inches of 1s -inch rock
Ms laid in the bottom, then the 4 -inch perforated pipe followed by six
more inches of VI -inch gravel. To prevent Silting of the field, the
gravel was covered with brattice cloth (woven hemp cloth). Topsoil one
foot: thick was placed over the brattice cloth; then the clay loam and
cobbles were replaced. 'Mr. Robert Nelson inspected the leach field
installara,on prior to final burial.
Abandonment of a nearby water well was dictated by the close proxi-
mi.tY of the #1 leach area. This well is disconnected and will be
abandoned in accordance with procedures of the State Board of Examiners
for Water well and PaV Tnstallation Contractors abandonment regulations
by filling the casing to the water line with sand and gravel and the
remainder with concrete.
o Turner, PE 66
tenber 22, 1977
0
