Measurement and Payment <br /> Payment will be on a per acre basis as indicated under Item 5 of the Bid Schedule. This <br /> bid will cover payment of all costs for seed acquisition, chiseling, fertilizing (including <br /> supplying the fertilizer) seeding, mulching (includes supplying mulch), and mulch crimping. <br /> These revegetation procedures will be preformed on all regraded, backfilled, excavated or <br /> other delineated areas affected by the previous mining operations. Payment shall be as this <br /> task is completed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. Payment for this task shall <br /> be made only for that amount shown under Item 5 of the Bid Schedule. Any or all <br /> incidental costs incurred by the CONTRACTOR shall be reflected in each Bid Item or shall <br /> be paid at the CONTRACTOR'S expense. <br /> TASK 5 EQUIPMENT RENTAL <br /> All work will be accomplished according to 19.0 Equipment Rental, attached. <br /> Portions of the Sutey Refuse Disposal Area require further final grading with a 'dozer, and <br /> erosion control work before commencing Task 3. Dozer basins may be constructed at the <br /> Number 5 Mine, or on the Sutey Pile or at the base of the structure to retain moisture for <br /> shrub establishment. Basin dimensions will approximate 2 dozer blade widths with a 48-inch <br /> depth. The PROJECT MANAGER will provide reference stakes to delineate basin <br /> locations. <br /> A backhoe/loader may be used to accomplish miscellaneous site maintenance tasks as <br /> directed by the PROJECT MANAGER. This work may include the partial dredging of <br /> sediment ponds or clean out of existing diversion ditches. Any excavated materials resulting <br /> from pond or ditch maintenance would be loaded into a dump truck, and hauled to the <br /> Rock Tunnel Waste Rock Dump for disposal. <br /> Any additional 'dozer, backhoe/loader or truck work required will be covered under this <br /> task. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> Payment for task 5 will be reflected under Item 5 of the Bid Schedule at an hourly rate for: <br /> a) CAT D-7H or equivalent 215 FHP 'dozer with operator; <br /> b) CAT 426B backhoe/loader or equivalent 79 horse power machine with operator; <br /> and. <br /> c) Eighteen cubic-yard dump truck with operator. <br /> Bid hourly rate shall reflect the CONTRACTORS estimate for equipment and personnel <br /> costs per hour to complete the task. Measurement will be actual hours required to <br /> complete work outlined above and/or as directed and approved by the PROJECT <br /> MANAGER. All of the hours outlined in Item 5 are NOT guaranteed. <br /> 9 <br />
