2 <br /> 4) The dozer to be furnished for Item 4 must be supplied with ripping teeth. <br /> 5) The construction of a bermed catch basin and or minor diversion for Coal <br /> Creek will act as a catchment mechanism for unintentional coal waste from <br /> being deposited into the Creek. Sideslopes and bottom conditions will be <br /> reestablished after the waste removal phase achieves the final 2:1 slope <br /> configuration. Final slope material adjacent to the Creek will consist of <br /> as much natural cobbles/riprap as possible locatable within the natural <br /> soils after the regrading phases. Selective handling of the cobble/riprap <br /> material, if available, will extend up the reduced slope to a height of 10 <br /> feet. <br /> 6) The Hedge Brushlayer contruction phase of the project will be scheduled <br /> first upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed. A dozer will NOT be <br /> acceptable for creating the furrowing for the Hedge Brushlayer <br /> construction. <br /> 7) The installation of the live shrub tublings will include the addition of <br /> approximately 1/2 cup of organic fertilizer, supplied by the OWNER (MLRD) , <br /> and will also include initial watering-in immediately after planting. <br /> 8) When on the mine site, the contractor will adhere to all MSHA requirements <br /> related to safety including, hard hats, steel toes, safety glasses, <br /> correct driving procedures, etc. <br /> 9) The bid opening date is July 3, 1991 at 2:00 p.m. <br /> 10) All terms and conditions of the Invitation and Bid other than as changed <br /> by this amendment remain the same. <br /> 11) Receipt and acceptance of this amendment will be acknowledged by signing <br /> the attached acknowledgement and returning it with your bid. <br />
