Box 1298 <br /> Glenwood Springs, Colorado 81602 <br /> Individuals Present During the Inspection: <br /> Diane Delaney, Mid-Continent <br /> Lou Ron Thompson, Mid-Continent <br /> Bruce Collins, Mid-Continent <br /> Tony Svatos, US Forest Service (USFS) <br /> Bob Lawton, USFS <br /> Larry Routten, Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) <br /> David Berry, DMG <br /> Tony Waldron, DMG <br /> Gary Fritz, Office of Surface Mining (OSM) <br /> Mitch Rollings, OSM <br /> Donna Griffin, OSM <br /> Russ Porter, OSM <br /> The individuals listed above as being representatives of Mid- <br /> Continent Resources are employees of Pitkin Iron Co. <br /> This was a complete, random sample inspection conducted to <br /> assess the current site conditions of the Coal Basin Mine and <br /> Mid-Continent Resources's compliance with the Colorado Coal <br /> Mining Regulations. <br /> The weather during the inspection was mostly sunny with some <br /> afternoon rain showers. The temperature ran from warm to cool <br /> depending on the elevation. Ground conditions were dry at the <br /> lower elevations and partly snow covered at the higher <br /> elevations. <br /> The inspection began with a document review conducted at the <br /> Pitkin Iron Co. , office in Carbondale, Co. The following is a <br /> discussion of that review; <br /> Permit---The Mined Land Reclamation Board issued an <br /> Order dated October 20, 1992 which revoked permit C- <br /> 81-017. The Order requires Mid-Continent Resources to <br /> maintain and reclaim the site pursuant to the <br />
