Dear Mr. Long: This will memorialize our telephone discussion this morning concerning a request for extension of time to respond to the October 13, 1993 letter from Larry P. Routten, Environmental Protection Specialist, to Diane Delaney, Mid-Continent Resources, Inc. , Glenwood Springs, CO 81602 in connection with the above- captioned Notice of Violation. We have attempted to call Mr. Routten Monday, Tuesday and this morning, November 1, 2 and 3, 1993, without success. Accordingly, I called you and imposed upon your time with this request. Thank you for your time and attention to our cuncern. As you know, Mid-Continent Resources, Inc. , filed a bankruptcy proceeding under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code as a debtor-in-possession in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado. This bankruptcy proceeding was filed February 12, 1992 , is docketed as Case No. 92 11658 PAC, and remains pending before the Bankruptcy Court. On October 19, 1993, bankruptcy counsel for Mid-Continent Resources, Inc . filed a Third Application to Employ Special Counsel (Delaney & Balcomb, P.C. ) for the debtor for, inter alia, I'd. representation of the Debtor with regard to any citations or notices of violation issued by a governmental unit, federal or state, with regard to mine reclamation, mine maintenance or the
