MEMO <br /> January 10, 1994 <br /> To: DMG <br /> From: MCR <br /> Re: The reclamation schedule as set forth in the May, 1991 settlement agreement as <br /> compared with work done in the1993 construction season. <br /> First Season: <br /> May, 1992 -October. 1992 <br /> Initiate and complete reclamation of Mine 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 portal areas, including <br /> portal sealing, structural demolition, backfilling and grading, revegetaaon and <br /> installation of sediment controls. Also complete sealing of the adit/rock tunnel. <br /> Mine <br /> All portals have been sealed. <br /> All surface facilities, including buildings, fan, power poles, etc. have been removed. <br /> Trash-has-been--picked up and removed-. Backfilllgrading-has-been completed. <br /> Topsoiling has been completed. The area has been seeded and mulched. <br /> Coal Creek was re-routed to a previous channel, away from the toe of the embankment <br /> below the reclaimed area, and large rocks have been placed along the embankment to <br /> protect it from erosion. <br /> A large culvert which had washed downstream from the crossing has been removed <br /> from Coal Creek. Guard rails and posts have been removed from Road G, the Mine#5 <br /> road. <br /> Minim <br /> All portals have been sealed. <br /> The surface facilities and structures have been removed. This required the entire <br /> summer to complete. Backfill/grading can begin as soon as the ground is dry. <br /> Mine #4. <br /> The portals have been sealed. <br /> Some surface facilities (i.e. the 30' high water tank) have been removed. <br />
