Turner, vice president and general manager of Mid-Continent
Resources, Inc. , concerning the removal of alluvial meterial at the First
North entries of the Dutch Creek No. 2 Mine, the following is presented
for your consideration.
1. Removal of this alluvial material would open entries driven from
the First North to the outcrop.
2. This action would provide a shorter emergency escape route from
the projected longwall section to operate in the First North
and Second North panel.
3. Would serve a future purpose of a ventilation system which would
provide a more efficient bleeder system.
4. Would provide a material way into and out of the mines which
would greatly shorten the travel distance required through the
main slopes.
Sincerely,
`i
i
/ H 446 l of
la
Coordinator
cc: J.
